Canadian Weather Can Be Hard On Your Car
RUST NEVER SLEEPS. And once it gets going, it can adversely affect how your car performs, shortening its life. Modern vehicles have many hard-to-reach crevices where moisture and dirt love to collect – creating ideal conditions for rust.
Owning a vehicle is the second largest purchase in life we make. Why not protect that Investment with our rust control protection options: whether you prefer Rust Control Spray or the newest in technology the Rust Control Module.
Rust Inhibitor Spray Protection. The Rust Inhibitor Spray is a synthetic waterproof product that’s sprayed into inner cavities and crevices. It bonds to the metal, so it won’t drip or run off. Since it’s applied between the exterior and interior panels via existing holes in the doors, there’s no drilling required. This one-time application extends the life of your car.
Corrosion Control Module
The Corrosion Control Module is a new environmental approach to winning the war on rust. It’s a microprocessor that generates a repetitive pulsing surface current which reduces the oxidation of the metal. The current is distributed to both sides of the car’s sheet metal panels, including the floorboards and above the window line. Extra areas that conventional products cannot reach, such as the roof and inseams, are also protected with this method. Scientific studies show that the Corrosion Control Module can reduce the rate of corrosion by up to 99.7%
Rust Proofing A Major Benefit
Many people feel that rust proofing their car is not necessary. Rustproofing is actually extremely beneficial and proactive, especially for us Canadians! We experience long, cold winters, and with that comes…salt! In order to keep driving conditions safe and accessible, it’s common to see salt, sand and stones all over the place in Canada. The problem with this is that it affects our cars.
Salt can damage the paint and coating on cars, causing chipping. When these areas of a car are chipped away and damaged, they’re susceptible to corrosion and rusting. It’s times like these when rust proofing proves to be favourable. The damage can be reversed and treated, and rust proofing prevents future damage.
Rust is formed by a combination of water, air and steel. With the presence of water and air, the steel on your car is broken down and rusted out.
The best time to rustproof is in the spring. Coming away from winter, our cars are often coated in salt and corrosive chemicals. Rustproofing at this time will remove all of that, and prevent further damage.
Rustproofing is advantageous when trying to sell your car in the future, as you can sell your car at a higher value with a rust-free body. As rust begins to form on cars as early as three years old, this application proves beneficial.
Rust proofing should be done every other year in order to maintain your car’s appearance. When a car is left untreated, rust slowly eats away at the iron and eventually debases the entire car.
A thorough rust proofing will include the underside of your vehicle, as well as inside the doors and fenders. The agents used can access every layer and other hard-to-reach areas that otherwise would be missed and left to deteriorate.
